Challenge
Patients booked by phone because the site didn't work on the phones they had. Half the community reads Spanish first. Signage inside the clinic was printer paper and tape.
Approach
Mobile-first, bilingual by default, every page under 100KB. A signage system that the front desk can reprint themselves. Big type, high contrast, no cleverness.
Outcome
Online booking went from 4% to 38% of appointments. Phone volume at the front desk dropped by a third, which is the metric the staff cared about.
